"Keep the faith and never give up"

Jeannette Dalia Curta truly has a gift for languages. Besides her mother tongue, German, she also speaks French, English, Spanish and Romanian. The young lady from Saarland describes herself as fun-loving, spontaneous, full of energy and well-grounded: all attributes that she wants to convince her audience that she has. Her deep, emotional and characteristic voice is redolent of great American soul singers.
Is she nervous before her performances? "Sure", she says. "But stage fright makes you sincere. And I need that to sing well".

If anyone ever incarnated the term "multicultural" it would be Jeannette, the attractive singer with the mysterious green eyes. She is multilingual and at home anywhere in the world. Music has always been in the blood and has played a part in setting the rhythm of the family life – almost since the day she was born.

"Our car was my first stage."

She was born in Germany, lived in Paris and the Canary Islands.
Together with her father, a folk singer from Transylvania in Romania, she travelled the roads of her childhood singing.
"Our journeys were always very long and my father’s repertoire endless, he never failed to surprise me with a song I had never heard."
J.C. started making a living out of her love of music some time ago. Having made numerous appearances on stages large and small she was a dark horse for a long while. However, she has since become an established artist on both the national and international scene.
That comes as no surprise: with charm and charisma J.C. thrills her audience time and again. Now temperamental, now dreamy, she infuses her songs with life. Her repertoire is both polyglot and very personal, to the delight of the audience and the press alike.
"Her voice, so smooth and assured, glides over each surge of notes, making her come across as fresh and likeable every time" (Gerd Heger, Saarländischer Rundfunk[Saarland Radio]

Nowadays Jeannette Curta writes/sings her own songs in an acoustic/folk style with a pop and soul twist. Mostly in French, the language of her heart, but also in English and more recently in German. Her songs are about nostalgic yearnings, but also about optimism and the little things that make life so rich and exciting. All delivered in a deep, emotional and characteristic voice redolent of great American soul singers.
Her beloved Paris is the city where she recorded her current demo record with the aid of a professional, creative team of musicians and producers.
